  • Do the digital heirs I share my digital vault with get access to my accounts?
No. An access to your digital vault is only granted upon after proof of your passing is provided. In more details - Digital vault access vs. account access: Sharing your digital vault with heirs doesn't automatically grant them access to your online accounts (like email, social media, etc.). Notification and verification: Heirs are notified they've been designated as trusted contacts. After proof of your passing is provided, they can access your digital vault. Vault contents as a roadmap: The vault likely contains information that can help your heirs navigate your online accounts (logins, passwords, instructions). Specific account access Digital legacy executor: Assign one heir as an executor to manage a specific account or folder. WiziWill service (fee): This service might help heirs access specific accounts with your guidance. Overall, a digital vault helps your heirs manage your digital afterlife, but it's separate from direct account access. Consider appointing an executor for specific needs and explore services like WiziWill for additional assistance.
  • What can I store in my digital vault?
Store everything you need your loved ones to find easily - Account information: Securely link your online accounts or simply list them for easy access and future management. Device access details: Include login information for devices like computers, routers, and smart home systems. Important documents: Scan and store vital documents like wills, insurance policies, and contracts for safekeeping. Personal notes & memories: Safeguard important notes, directives, or cherished memories for your nearest and dearest.
  • When the time comes, how can my loved ones access my digital vault?
We have a clear process for ensuring your digital assets are accessible to your heirs in a secure manner after your passing - Trusted contacts are notified: When you designate someone as a trusted contact, they'll receive an email notification. Heirs initiate access: Upon your passing, your heirs (trusted contacts) need to contact WiziWill to gain access to your vault. Verification process: WiziWill will verify your passing before granting access. Full access granted: Once verified, your heirs will have full access to everything in your digital vault, including: Directives: Any instructions you've left regarding your digital assets. Accounts: Information about your online accounts. Access details: Login credentials for your accounts. Documents: Important documents you've stored in your vault. Security emphasized: WiziWill assures that your information remains secure until your designated contacts are successfully verified.
  • What security do you use at WiziWill?
WiziWill keeps your data safe with two layers of encryption - In transit: All data sent from your device to our servers is protected with industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. This ensures your information travels securely. At rest: Sensitive details within your vault, like account access details, are encrypted using ChaCha20, a powerful encryption algorithm. This keeps your data protected even when it is stored in our servers.
  • Can WiziWill use the details I store and log into my accounts?
WiziWill prioritizes your privacy. We do not access nor store your login credentials. Here's why - Secure connections (OAuth): When you link accounts like Google Drive, we use a secure protocol called OAuth. This grants WiziWill limited access using a unique token, without ever storing your password. Limited scope: These tokens only allow WiziWill to see the information you choose to share, ensuring your data remains private. Encrypted storage: Your listed assets' access details are encrypted. They would appear as random strings, making them unreadable. Hints are memorable: We do recommend taking an extra step and use memorable hints, like anniversaries or birthdays, to jog your loved ones' memory and help them access your information easily.
  • How can I submit a suggestion / request for feature to WiziWill?
We would love to hear your feedback on how we can improve our app and services. You can use any of the below at your preference - Chat with us Submit a request directly from our mobile app Use our contact form to submit your suggestions - wiziwill.com/contact-us.
  • How do you ensure the security of my digital accounts and the authenticity of my directives?
We prioritize both security and clarity and therefor when you choose to connect your account using secure connection protocol (OAuth) we ensure that - Saving Tokens, not Passwords: with OAuth you allow a unique token that grants WiziWill with limited access to see the data in your account (depends and varies with each service provider), without ever storing your password. Data Not Stored: WiziWill does not retain your actual account data. Instead, we capture your specific directives, indicating who receives access and what they can access. For example, if you decide to pass forward a particular folder in your cloud drive, WiziWill does not download the files and store them. Instead, we maintain a pointer, backed by strong evidence of the directive, such as the internal ID used by the cloud drive service provider. Directive Monitoring (Optional): With your permission, WiziWill can monitor your linked accounts for changes, like a folder being renamed. We'll notify you of any discrepancies so you can keep your directives up-to-date. This ensures your loved ones always access the correct information based on your latest wishes.
